Veltech Technical University conducts a national level Scholarship Eligibility Test - Veltech Technical University Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE) for admissions to various undergraduate engineering courses offered by the University. VTUEEE 2018 will be held in two phases. Phase I exam of VTUEEE 2018 will be held in January 21, 2018,  while the Phase II exam of VTUEEE will be conducted on April 15 to 22, 2018.

Candidates can note the following details pertaining to VTUEEE 2018:

  • VTUEEE 2018 will be held in two phases.
  • Phase I of the exam will be conducted in offline mode and Phase II will be conducted in both offline and online mode.
  • The exam will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • VTUEEE 2018 will be held across various cities in 21 states of the country. Candidates can choose their preferred city while filling out the application form.
  • VTUEEE 2018 will results will determine the list of candidates who will be called for VTUEEE 2018 Counselling and subsequently be given admission to Veltech Technical University.

Minimum Criteria

Qualifying Examination:

In addition to the Government norms, candidates seeking admission to BTech degree Programme at VTU should have either completed or appearing for, any one of the following examinations:

·         10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any State Board, Central Board of higher Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi); National Institute of Open School; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University; High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria for VTUEEE 2018:

·         Candidates should be a pass in +2 (or its equivalent).

·         Aspirants appearing for 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in April/May 2018 can appear for VTUEEE 2018.

For the purpose of consideration for award of the Veltech Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship, the state from which the aspirant has studied and appeared for the qualifying examination (12th standard examination of the State or Central Board) will be taken as the state to which the candidate belongs, even though the nativity of the candidate may be another state or union territory.

Application Process

Exam Pattern

VTUEEE 2018 will be both pen based test (PBT) and computer based test (CBT). While Phase I will be completely pen based, phase II will be both pen based and computer based.

VTUEEE 2018 will be based on Bloom’s Taxonomy Pattern. The test aims to examine a candidate's subject knowledge ability, comprehension ability and critical analysis ability. The questions are one tier and two tier multiple choice types.

  • VTUEEE 2018 will consist of 3 sections - Mathematics or Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The Mathematics and Biology section will contain 50 questions and the Physics and Chemistry sections will contain 25 questions each.
  • All questions will be multiple choice questions.
  • There will be two tier mcqs to increase the validity of the candidate’s answers.
  • Each question will carry one mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
