VITEEE 2019- B.Tech aspirants wishing to join Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) must appear for VITEEE 2019 and qualify in it. VITEEE is the annual entrance examination conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology for admissions to its campuses at Vellore and Chennai as well as its group universities at Bhopal and Amaravati respectively.  Applications forms of VITEEE will be available both offline and online tentatively from November 2018. Eligible candidates must apply for the exam, book their slots to download their admit card in April 2019 to appear for the exam. VITEEE 2019 result will be announced online in May 2019 with counselling held soon after.

Minimum Criteria

The eligibility criteria for VITEEE 2019 are as follows:

·         Anyone born on or after July 1, 1996 can apply for VITEEE 2019

·         Interested candidates should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

·         Also, the average marks obtained by aspirants in PCM / PCB in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the SC/ST & North Eastern State.

·         Aspirants who have studied regular, full time and formal education can apply for VITEEE 2019.

·         The exam will be open to NIOS'(National Institute of Open Schooling) candidates too. 

·         NRI candidates will also be eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019, apart from applying through direct NRI form. 

·         PIO and OCI holder will be able to apply for VITEEE 2019. (Foreign Candidates studied/studying in abroad can apply directly through foreign category only).

Application Process

Step 1: Fill the application form

Interested candidates are given the choice of applying for VITEEE 2019 online of offline. An application fee of Rs.1150/- (inclusive of GST) - for general gandidates needs to be paid online via Netbanking / Credit / Debit card. NRI students need to pay 50 USD through online mode using credit card.The sost of Offline Application Forms : Rs.1200/- (inclusive of GST).  Offline (OMR) application forms will be available in selected post offices and VIT Campuses. Candidates who want to fill the application form online must visit VITEEE 2019 official website where they can register for the entrance exam. On this official portal, candidates have to fill in their personal details and also provide their email ID. Once they complete this task, they need to confirm their password and fill the complete application form for VITEEE 2019. Candidates are advised to pay extra attention to the date of birth (DOB) they are putting in the application form along with thinking through about the test centre they select because the test centre once selected by them will not be open for change.

Step 2: Download VITEEE 2019 Admit Card

The admit card for VITEEE will be issued to the candidates online itself. Candidates then need to download VITEEE e-admit card and take a print out of this card and bring it along on the entrance exam day.

Please note that the VITEEE e-admit card will be generated to candidates only if they have booked their schedule through the Online Test Booking System.

Candidates are advised to save and keep this admit card because if they are shortlisted on the basis of their entrance exam score then they will have to show their admit card at the time of counselling as well. 

Step 3: Appearing for VITEEE 2019 exam

Candidates are shortlisted and thereafter called for the counselling round primarily on the basis of marks secured by them in VITEEE 2019. So, candidates need to pay special attention when preparing for VITEEE 2019 syllabus, so that they are able to fare well in the entrance exam.

Step 4: Appearing for Counselling Round

The counselling dates for VITEEE 2019 will be announced by VIT University after the exam results are declared by them.

The documents candidates need to bring along with them for VITEEE 2019 counselling are as follows:

·         Class X Board Certificate as a proof of date of birth or any age proof certificate

·         Community Certificate (for SC/ST only)

·         Mark sheet of qualifying examination (if available)

·         VITEEE-2019 e-Admit Card.

·         DD for Rs 30,000/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore

·         Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)

Candidates need to furnish the original as well as the photocopies of documents listed above at the time of VITEEE counselling. 

Exam Pattern

·         The exam will be conducted through online mode (Computer Based Test).

·         The questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

·         The question paper will be asked in the English Language.

·         The question will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology & English subjects.

·         Total 125 questions will be asked in the examination.

·         The exam will be organized 3 sessions per day.

·         The duration of this exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

·         For each correct answer, one mark will be allotted and there will be no negative marking.
