Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test, commonly known as TS ICET, is conducted for the candidates who wish to take admission into MBA and MCA courses of all universities in the Telangana state and their affiliated colleges. TS ICET is a state-level post-graduate level entrance exam conducted once in a year in online mode. In order to take admission into MBA and MCA courses, candidates will have to appear for this entrance exam.


Minimum Criteria

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria of TS ICET is prescribed by Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE). Before applying for the entrance exam, it is a must for the candidates to check TS ICET eligibility criteria, as only the candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance exam. TS ICET is conducted in the month of May, in online mode and candidates appearing for the test must go through the detailed eligibility criteria listed below:

·         Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

·         There is no age limit for applying to TS ICET.

·         Candidates applying for the test should be graduates from a recognised university with a course duration of minimum three years.

·         Candidates should secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. For reserved category candidates like SC, ST or PWD, candidates must secure 45% marks.

·         Candidates appearing in the final year examination can also apply and appear for TS ICET.

·         Candidates with a qualifying Degree by Distance Mode Programme, which is recognised by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.

·         The qualifying marks for TS ICET 2018 are 25%. There are no minimum marks prescribed separately for SC/ST candidates.

Application Process

Step 1: Payment of Registration Fee

·         As part of the application process, candidates have to pay the TS ICET application fee in online and offline mode.

·         For Offline Payment – TS Online/AP Online Centres

·         For General category candidates, the application fee is INR 650 and for the SC/ST category candidates, the application fee is INR 450

Step 2: Filling of the Application Form

The next step involves filling the application form of TS ICET. In order to fill the application form, candidates have to fill the following details:

·         Candidates educational details

·         Details of qualifying exam

·         Category of the candidate

·         Choose the TS ICET exam centre

·         Special Category – PH, Sports, Visually Impaired, etc.

After filling the details in the application form, candidates have to upload their coloured passport size photograph along with their signatures.

Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for TS ICET should have a good understanding of the exam pattern. In TS ICET examination, objective-type questions are asked in the entrance exam that candidates have to complete in 150 minutes. Through TS ICET 2018 exam pattern 2018, candidates get a fair idea about the duration of the exam, marking scheme, exam mode and overall format of the exam.

·         TS ICET 2018 is conducted in online mode.

·         The question paper of TS ICET 2018 consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

·         There are a total of 200 questions asked in the entrance exam.

·         In the exam, 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer.

·         The total time duration of TS ICET 2018 is 150 minutes.

·         TS ICET 2018 is divided into three sections - Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability & Communication Ability.
