The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2019) is the main entrance examination in the country for admission to medicine and allied courses. In a first, NEET 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and will be held twice in a year in the month of February and May.

 NEET 2019 will be held twice a year in online mode. NEET 2019 first exam will be held between 03 Feb 2019 and 17 Feb 2019. Second exam will be held from 12 May 2019 to 26 May 2019.

 HRD minister Prakash Javadekar announced via a press meet that NEET 2019 will be conducted by NTA. He also confirmed that it will be only online and in February and May months. Official website of NTA (nta.ac.in) has been launched containing NEET 2019 exam dates.

NEET 2019 Score is used for admission in: 

1.    BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) 

2.    MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery)

To get admission in MBBS/ BDS course, the candidate must score minimum eligibility (cut-off) marks so that you can apply 15% All India Counselling or 85% State counselling.

     What's new in NEET 2019?

·         The conducting body of NEET 2019 is the National Testing Agency (NTA).

·         NEET 2019 will be conducted in online mode only.

·         The examination of NEET 2019 will be conducted twice a year. It is, however, not mandatory on the part of the candidates to sit for the exam both times. 

·         Multiple sittings will be held for NEET 2019 and the candidates will have the option to choose the exam date from the eight sittings provided.

·         A network of test centres will also be established by the NTA so that candidates from the rural areas can have ample opportunities to practice.

·         To equate the two tests, measures like psychometric methods, standardisation techniques and the best of the two equated scores will be used.

·         The manner of the tests will be scientific and developed jointly by psychometricians and subject matter experts.

NEET 2019 Application Form

Candidates should fill the application form as per the instructions given in the information bulletin. Below we are providing NEET 2019 application form details:

·         The application form will be issued through online mode only.

·         No application will be entertained through offline mode.

·         NEET UG registration 2019 will be commenced from the 1st October 2018 (Feb Exam) & second week of March 2018 (May Exam).

·         Candidates should upload the scanned images of recent passport size photograph and signature.

·         After filling the application form completely, a confirmation page will be generated. Download it.

·         There will be no need to send the printed confirmation page to the board.

Application Fee: 

·         General and OBC candidates will have to pay Rs. 1400/- as an application fee.

·         The application fee for SC/ST and PH candidates will be Rs. 750/-.

·         Fee payment can be done through credit/debit card, net banking, UPI and e-wallet.

·         Service tax will also be applicable.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

Below we are providing the details about NEET 2019 exam pattern:

·         Date of Exam: The exam will be organized on 3rd February to 17th February 2019 (Feb exam) & 12th May to 26th May 2019 (May Exam).

·         Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through computer based (online) mode.

·         Type of Questions: There will be objective type questions in the exam.

·         Duration: The exam duration will be of three hours.

·         Number of Questions: Total 180 questions will be asked.

·         Language: The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kananda languages.

·         Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, four marks will be given.

·         Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

Reservation Of Seats:

Candidate must check reservation of MBBS/ BDS seats before the counselling process begins. As per the information bulletin, 15% AIQ seat reservation is as per the DGHS (Medical Council Committee) Central Govt. Reservation law. For the remaining 85% reservation of seats in Medical/Dental colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in States/Union Territories.

For 15% AIQ  Seat Reservation

 (i) For OBC Candidate: 27% Seats are reserved.
(ii) SC Candidate: 15% seats are reserved
(iii) ST Candidates:  7.5% seats are reserved.
(iv) Differently abled candidates as per MCI guidelines are: 3% Horizontal

For 85% State Quota Counselling Reservation
