MAH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test – Maharashtra CET) is a state level entrance exam that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. MAH CET 2017 will be conducted for admission to first year of Post graduate degree in MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM programmes. These courses are offered by the government university, managed university, departments and unaided institution in the Maharashtra state. ·         The candidate must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks

·         Aspirants from Maharashtra who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories require 45% marks in Graduation to be eligible for MAH-CET

·         Persons with disability having 45% marks in Graduation from a recognized university are also eligible to apply


The examination is a part of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the state government.

The MAH CET question paper consists of multiple choice objective type questions from the following sections:

·         Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

·         Quantitative Aptitude and Logical / Abstract Reasoning.

The duration of the computer-based exam is 150 minutes (2 and a half hours) during which the candidate has to solve 200. There’s no negative marks for incorrect answers.

Post the declaration of results of MAH-CET 2017, the DTE is announce dates for registrations for admissions to the colleges. The candidates will be required to apply in time to be able to secure a seat in the desired college.


CET Maharashtra Exam Pattern

Exam Mode: MAH CET 2017 will be held only through online mode (computer based test – CBT) in multiple sessions.

Exam Date: The entrance exam will be conducted on the 4th & 5th March 2017 in multiple sessions.

Language: The medium of the entrance exam will be English.

Duration: The duration of the examination will be 2 ½ hours.

Type of Questions: The entrance exam will consist of the multiple choice objective type questions.

No. of Question: Total 200 questions will be asked in the examination.

Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be allotted to the candidates for correct response.

Negative Marking: There is no procedure of negative marking.

MAH CET 2017 Admit Card

MAH CET Admit Card 2017 will be available in the official site. Candidates can download the admit card for online test from the 23rd February 2017. For download the admit card, candidates will be informed through email/SMS. Candidates are required to use roll number/ registration number and Date of Birth for downloading the admit card.

MAH CET Result 2017

Candidates can check their result from the 10th March 2017. MAH-CET 2017 Result will be published on the official portal. Candidates can get their result by entering Application ID and seat number. After the result declaration merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the entrance exam.

MAH CET Admission Process

After the result declaration, candidates have to fill the online admission form for their preferred course and college. No personal communication/allotment letter will be issued to the candidates. The admission process will be held through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). It will be conducted through three rounds. The CAP will be composed of first two rounds by Centralized Allotment wherein eligible candidates will fill separate Online Option forms for respective rounds. Third round of CAP will be organized by way of counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates. The seat will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the merit list and as per the options filled in the online option form.
