 KLEE (Kerala Law Entrance Exam) 2018 entrance examination for 5 year LLB is a state level exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination which offers a double degree integrated course combining bachelors’ degree in any discipline with a degree course in law.

This is the second law based entrance exam directed by Commissionerate of Entrance Examination for law admission in Kerala. KLEE 2018 is important for class 12 student’s intent on law college admission in Kerala in 2018.

  • Kerala LLB 5 Year 2018 Entrance Exam will be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE)
  • Candidates seeking admission into Integrated 5-year LL.B Course 2018-18 will have to give this exam
  • Clearing this exam will allow candidates to apply for the course at 4 Government Law Colleges and Private Self-Financing Law Colleges included in CAP 2016-17
  • Allotment of merit seats in Private Self- Financing law colleges is subjected to Kerala Government’s approval and also renewal of University affiliation for 2018-18 academic year, along with official approval of Institution by the Bar Council of India
  • Candidates belonging to General as well as SEBC (socially and educationally backward classes) will have to pay application fee of INR 600, while candidates from SC or ST category will have to pay INR 300.
  • Application form will have to be submitted by candidates through online mode only.
  • Students can apply for five year LLB entrance examination till June 16

Minimum Criteria

A candidate desirous of joining the Integrated LLB 5-year course should have passed Kerala Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent by universities in Kerala. Candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria’s-

  • Age Limit- Candidate should be 17 years of age. No upper age limit for admission to the course.  
  • Citizenship/Residential Criteria- Candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • Academic Qualification- Should have passed 10+2 with minimum of 45%. SEBC candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with 42% and SC/ST students have to qualify the equivalent examination with 40% in aggregate

Application Process

·         Step 1: Fill KLEE 2018 Application Form

Candidates can only apply online for KLEE exam in order to secure admission in LLB 3 year, LLB 4 year and LLM programmes on offer by Kerala Universities and Self-Financing Law Colleges. KLEE application form can be filled on the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.

·         Step 2: Download KLEE Admit Card

Candidates can download their KLEE 2018 admit card from the official website of CEE, Kerala. Any candidate who is not carrying his/her KLEE admit card to the test centre will not be allowed to take the law entrance exam.

·         Step 3: Appear for KLEE Exam

The KLEE entrance exam for LLB 3 year as well as LLB 5 year course admissions will comprise of 200 multiple choice questions which aspirants need to attempt in 3 hours duration. KLEE entrance test for LLM course admissions consists of two papers which aspirants need to attempt in 90 minutes duration each. The questions asked are objective type in nature and each paper is expected to have 100 questions which candidates need to attempt in one and a half hour duration.

·         Step 4: Check KLEE 2018 Result

The result for LLB 3 year, LLB 5 year and LLM course admission is released on the official website of CEE, Kerala. A merit list with names, roll number and score of shortlisted candidates is released for admission in law programmes offered in Universities of Kerala and other Self-Financing Law Colleges.

·         Step 5: Take Part in Centralised Allotment Process

The official website of CEE, Kerala informs: “Allotment will be made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions (options) registered by the candidates during online Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). The details of CAP will be notified on the website and in leading newspapers. Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates”.
