Jamia Millia Islamia is the conducting authority of Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam (JMIEE) for admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Every year, Jamia Millia Islamia conducts the entrance test to provide admission to eligible candidates into various courses in Management, Law, Dentistry, Education, Mass Communication, etc. Candidates can apply for JMIEE 2018 on the official website of JMI. Admission to B.Tech and B.Arch courses is done on the basis of JEE Main scores.

Minimum Criteria

JMIEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria comprise of all the conditions that aspirants must fulfill in order to secure admission in the programme of their choice offered at the University. Given below are the eligibility requirements for various courses except B.Tech and B.Arch. Admission to engineering courses will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2018 scores. 

Eligibility for Undergraduate Programmes:

For B.A LLB Programme:

Candidates should have:

·         Passed the XII standard examination or its equivalent in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks of the total marks in all the core subjects and English Language.

·         Age of the candidate seeking admission into the course should be 20 years in case of general category and 22 years in case of reserved categories including ST, SC, and OBC as on 1st July of the year of admission.

For B.A. (Hons)/ B.Com Programme:

·         Candidate should have Senior Sec. School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate or 50% in the subject concerned.

For BHM Programme:

·         Candidate should have Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with an aggregate of at least 45% marks in best 5 papers.

Eligibility for Postgraduate Programmes:

For M.A Mass Communication Programme:

·         Candidate should have qualified their graduation in any field (10+2+3) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

For M.Sc Programme:

·         Candidate should have cleared B.Sc. with minimum aggregate of 50% marks and at least 55% marks in the concerned subject

For M.Tech Programme:

·         Candidate should have a B.Tech degree in a specified branch with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For L.L.M. Programme:

·         For  L.L.M., candidates should have  L.L.B. degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade points.

For MCA Programme:

·         Candidate should have completed and cleared graduate degree in any of the subjects like Science/Social Science/ Natural Science/ Engineering/Technology, with at least 50% marks, and Mathematics as one of the major subjects in 10+2 or higher level or at least 50% marks in BCA/BSC (IT/CS).

For MBA Programme:

·         Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade.

Application Process

Candidates seeking admission at Jamia Millia Islamia University in different courses offered by it can fill JMI entrance exam 2018 application form in online mode. Details regarding the same are as explained in the steps below:

Step 1: Register at JMI Admission Portal

Firstly, candidates need to register themselves on the admission portal of the varsity by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number. Once candidates are successfully registered, they will receive an email containing a unique code with a link to veriy email account, login ID, and password.   

Step 2: Fill JMI Entrance Exam Application Form

After candidates verify their email accounts, they can login by entering their ID and password. It may be noted that "a candidate is allowed to submit only ONE form for each program/group of programs (With Combined Entrance Test). Multiple submissions of form for the same program by a candidate may cause rejection of his/her candidature," informs the official website. Some of the details to be filled in JMI application form 2018 are:

• Applicant details: Name, gender, date of birth, educational qualification, religion, nationality, parents’ names, etc

Step 3: Pay JMI Entrance Exam Application Fee 

Next, candidates need to pay JMI entrance exam 2018 application fee. Candidates can pay the fee in online mode only via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
