IBPS PO 2018 exam is conducted in 3 stages: Prelims, Mains and Interview. This year the exam will be conducted on October 13 to October 14, 2018 and  October 20 to October 21, 2018  by the Institute of Personnel Banking Selection on its official website. Candidates are shortlisted based on their merit scores following which they secure placements in the participating banks

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a recruitment body which has the control for selecting eligible candidates in all Public Sector Banks, NABARD, SIDBI, State Bank of India and its associate banks, Reserve Bank of India etc. The recruitment notification for selection of candidate for Probationary Officer/Management Trainee will be released in the month of July, 2018. The application form will be submitted through online mode only. Aspirants who are willing to join banking sector as a Probationary Officer can fill the application form for IBPS PO 2018 exam.

Nearly 20 lakh candidates compete each year for approximately 3562 vacant seats. Any eligible candidate is required to register themselves for the Common Recruitment Process. The registration for the same has been started from August 14, 2018 on online mode.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection named as IBPS conducts Common Written Exam (CWE) every year for the clerical cadre in multiple banks all over the country. All public sector banks use IBPS CLERK CWE Marks as a base to fill the vacancies for Clerk (Assistant) post. IBPS is conducting Clerk exam for the eighth year now and hence named IBPS Clerk CWE VIII. The IBPS Clerk CWE exam is conducted in two levels- preliminary exam and mains, both stage in Online mode only. IBPS Clerk Prelims and Mains Examination is conducted in two languages ie., English and Hindi (except the English Section questions). IBPS Clerk Prelims and Mains Exam is conducted within the state, where the candidate resides. Candidates qualifying in both these exams are thus selected for the post. From 2015, there is no Interview for Candidates those who are in final merit List.

IBPS Clerk is one of the most competitive exams in India which provides the opportunity to work in various centralized Bank on the Clerical post. IBPS conducts annually an online exam know as common written exam or CWE for IBPS Clerk vacancies. Based on previous year trends, last year, approx 22 lakh candidates applied for IBPS Clerk recruitment out of which around 15 lakh candidates appeared in the first phase of the exam.
