AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national-level computer-based MBA/PGDM/MMS/MCA entrance examination. It is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). ATMA scores are used for admission to management programmes offered by various institutions across India.

The ATMA 2019 exam will be held five times next year; in January, February, May, July and August. These exams will be conducted in online mode.


Minimum Criteria

Eligibility criteria for ATMA 2019:

·         The candidate applying for the exam should be a citizen of India

·         The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree or should have qualified in an equivalent examination under 10+2+3 scheme (any stream- BA, BTech, BCom, BSc). It should be noted that only those candidates who have pursued a course from a University that is recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India are eligible for the exam

·         Candidates who are in their final year of Graduation are also eligible for the exam

·         Candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks in graduation, or in the equivalent degree. This aggregate marks may however vary for different management institutes or Universities

·         There is no age limit on appearing in ATMA

·         Aspirants who have previously applied for ATMA exam, can also apply for the exam

·         ATMA exam does not require a work experience – both working and non-working candidates can apply for the exam

Application Process

The process includes four steps:

Step 1: ATMA 2019 application form

Candidates can register online to fill the ATMA 2019 application form. The application fee is Rs 1100. 

STEP 2: ATMA 2019 admit card

Admit cards will be made available for download to the registered candidates from the scheduled date. The candidates must download their admit cards and take a print out of the same before the exam as it is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall.

STEP 3: ATMA 2019 test

ATMA test is a computer based exam wherein the test takers have to solve the questions on computer screen. They will have to solve about 180 questions in MCQ format in 180 minutes.

STEP 4: ATMA 2019 results

ATMA result will be announced online on the scheduled date. The test takers will have download their scorecards and rank cards from the official website as these documents will not be sent by post to anyone. On the basis of marks scored, the candidates can apply to the institute/college of their choice.  

Exam Pattern

ATMA is a computer-based MBA entrance test. The test consists of multiple-choice objective-type questions. Candidates need to attempt 180 questions in 180 minutes. It evaluates verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, analysing and synthesising ability of the candidate. The question paper is set keeping in mind the need to assess the aptitude of an applicant for higher management education.

The questions will be of multiple choice type. Each question will have four options to choose the right answrer from.

For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded whereas for every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted
