Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) is an institution level entrance examination conducted for admission to various undergraduate B.Tech programmes offered by Amrita Schools of Engineering. Every year, Amrita University (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham)organizes this entrance examination.

The University has three campuses in Coimbatore, Amritapuri, and Bengaluru. AEEE is organized in two separate modes – Online (Computer Based Test) and Offline (Pen and Paper Based Test).

Following are the courses offered:

·         B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Civil Engineering

·         B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering 


Minimum Criteria

Applicants applying for AEEE 2018 will have to satisfy the eligibility norms of AEEE 2018 prescribed by the admission authorities.

AEEE eligibility criteria 2018 mentions the age, educational criteria that applicants must meet to take admission in B.Tech courses. Applicants who do not meet the required eligibility criteria will not be allowed to take the exam.

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have cleared class 12th exam or equivalent

Applicants should have secured aggregate marks of 60% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with not less than 55% in these three subjects individually.

Age:

Applicants whose date of birth, as per school records, falls on or after July 1, 1997 will be eligible for AEEE 2018.

Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 can also apply for admission.

Application Process

To fill online application form of AEEE 2018, applicants must follow the below steps:

Step: 1 AEEE 2018 Registration

The first step is to fill AEEE 2018 application form is to register for AEEE 2018. In order to register, applicants will have to enter their Date of Birth and a valid Email-ID. After entering, a confirmation E-mail will be sent to the registered Email-ID.

Step: 2 Filling AEEE 2018 Application Form

After registering, applicants will have to enter their basic details such as name, Email-ID, Date of Birth, Mobile number, Mode of examination, Test city preference, and click on ‘Submit’ button.

Step: 3 Uploading Scanned Images

To proceed further, applicants will have to upload scanned images of their Passport size colour photograph (recent) and Signature (as per specifications).

Step: 4 AEEE Application Fee Payment

Applicants will have to pay AEEE 2018 application fee of INR 1000. Applicants can choose to make the payment either online or offline.

Online Payment-

Applicants can pay the fee using Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking/Cash/Mobile Wallet.

Offline Payment-

Applicants can also pay the AEEE application fee through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of ‘Amrita School of Engineering’ payable at Coimbatore and send the print out of the filled AEEE application form 2018 along with the demand draft to the following address.

Step:5 Submission of AEEE 2018 Application Form

After paying the AEEE 2018 application fee, applicants must verify all the details entered in the application form and click on ‘Submit’ option.

To fill offline application form of AEEE 2018, applicants will have to obtain AEEE 2018 application form in person.

·         AEEE 2018 application form will be available at the University counter of Amrita School of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore.

·         Applicants can access the application form of AEEE 2018 from the several branches of Dhanlakshmi Bank, Federal Bank and Post Offices after payment of the application fees.

·         Applicants will have to pay the AEEE 2018 application fee via demand draft drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore to access the application form:

Exam Pattern

·         Amrita University conducts AEEE in computer based mode as well as the pen and paper mode.

·         The medium of language for conducting the exam is English.

·         Multiple type of questions (MCQs) are asked in the entrance exam.

·         The total duration of the exam is 2 hour 30 minutes.

·         The total number of the questions in the exam is 100 (Physics – 30, Chemistry – 30, Mathematics – 40).

·         3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

·         The total marks of the exam is 300 (Physics – 90, Chemistry – 90, Mathematics – 120).

Detailed Exam Pattern of AEEE 2018

Exam Duration:

·         The total duration for both online and offline mode is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

·         Candidates must reach their respective exam centres on time.

·         No student will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the end of the exam.

Exam Mode:

Online (Computer-based) mode – For online mode, candidates will have to mark their responses on the computer.

Offline (Paper-based) mode – For offline mode, candidates will have to mark their answers in the printed OMR answer sheets.

Question Type:

In AEEE 2018, the question paper will be in objective type format (multiple choice questions). Each question will have four options out of which candidates will have to choose one most appropriate answer.

Marking Scheme:

·         Candidates will be awarded 3 marks, for every correct response.

·         1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

·         If candidates give more than one response to a particular question, it will be treated as ‘incorrect answer’ and 1 mark will be deducted.

·         If no response is indicated for a particular question, no mark will be awarded or deducted.
