 DSAT 2020

 DSAT 2020 Exam is a national level examination conducted every year by Dayananda Sagar University for the aspirants who are seeking admission for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Dayananda Sagar University, established in the year 1960 by Sri Dayananda Sagar, provides courses in Engineering, Arts and Humanities, Commerce and Management, Basic and Applied Sciences, Basic Sciences, and Health Sciences. Located in Bengaluru, Dayananda Sagar University is run by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peeta Trust. The DSAT admission test is conducted annually as the entrance examination to the institute. The college has undergraduate courses like B-Tech, B-Pharm, BCA, BBA, B.A Journalism and postgraduate courses like M-Tech, MBA, M-Pharm.

 DSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria :

 The applicants have to check it before applying

1.      To get admission in the undergraduate courses, candidates should be qualified in class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum 45% aggregate.

2.      To get admission in postgraduate programs, applicants must be qualified in Bachelor degree or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum 50% aggregate.

3.      There are all of the Indian and Foreign/NRI candidates can apply in this examination.

 
DSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria For UG Programs:

B.Tech [CS/EC/ME/IT]

Applicants should have passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 45% marks and the same amount has been reduced down to just 40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics and English as a compulsory subject.

BCA

All the candidate should have passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination.

B.Sc [Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, and Genetics/ Bio-Technology, Chemistry, and Microbiology/Microbiology, Genetics, and Bio-Chemistry]

The aspirants should have passed in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology or Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other Life Science subject as optional and a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects.

BBA

The candidate must have passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination or with any other recognized board.

B.Com

The candidate must have passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination.

B.Pharm

Candidates who have passed two years PUC examination or equivalent examination of Karnataka PUC board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University with a minimum percentile amount of 40% marks in stream PCM or PCB or PCMB, PC and Comp.Science, PC, and Electronics.

Pharm.D

The candidate should have passed in any of the following examinations-10+2/ PUC or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects, Mathematics or Biology.

B.Sc

The candidate should have passed 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

PB B.Sc

The candidate should have passed in GNM after 10+2 or equivalent examination preferably with Science subjects with 50% marks in aggregate Candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. Candidates should have completed their GNM course on or before 01/06/2020

BPT

The candidate should have passed in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology with a minimum of 40% mark taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

BA Journalism

The candidate must have achieved Merit in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or Equivalent Examination with any other recognized board as well.

The candidate should have passed in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate(45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category). Good score in DSAT/GATE/PGCET Entrance Test

M.Tech EC [Embedded Systems]

The candidate should have passed in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate(45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category). Good score in DSAT/GATE/PGCET Entrance Test.

M.Tech ME [Design Engineering]

The candidate should have passed in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate(45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category). Good score in DSAT/GATE/PGCET Entrance Test.

M.Sc [Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology]

A candidate who has passed B.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences, Biosciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, B.E. (Biotechnology), Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy or Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent examination recognized by DSU with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.Sc. Eligibility shall be 45% in aggregate for candidates belonging to SC/ST candidates. For admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry, the candidate must have studied either Chemistry or Biochemistry as one of the major subjects during Bachelors.

MBA

The candidate should have passed with a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration recognized by this University or who have passes any other examination recognized by this University as equivalent thereto. The candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category) of all the years of the degree examinations. Good Score in DSAT /MAT/CAT/PGCET Entrance Test.

M.Pharm

Candidates should have passed B.pharm from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

M.Sc

Applicants should have passed BSc/PC BSc/PB BSc Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Experience: Applicants must have 1 year of experience after BSc Nursing in a hospital or in a community health program or in a school or college of nursing. PB BSc Degree holders need to have one year experience either before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing degree.

MPT

Candidates should have passed BPT from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

  The applicants have to register themselves by entering their name, email ID and mobile number on the official website of DSU.

·         Candidates will get user ID and password on registered e-mail and mobile number.

·         They have to fill the Application Form by entering the name of applicant, date and place of birth, contact number, nationality, e-mail address, permanent address, details of your parents, details of local guardian, religion and caste (for Indian nationals), country and category (for Foreign/NRI/PIO).

·         After filling these details, applicants have to upload the required documents in the Application Form.

The syllabus for UG courses is basically from 12th standard topics. Following are the subjects where the candidate has to concentrate if he/she has selected a UG course: 

1.      Mathematics: Algebra, Sets & Functions, Mathematical Reasoning, Calculus, Co-ordinate Geometry, Probability, Linear Programming, Vectors, and Relations & Functions.

2.      Physics: Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Optics, Electromagnetic Waves, Current Electricity, Gravity, Thermodynamics, Atoms, Oscillation of Waves, Properties of Bulk matter, Magnetic effect, etc.

3.      Chemistry: Electrochemistry, Basics of chemistry, Solution, Surface Chemistry, Chemistry Kinetics, Hydrogen, Equilibrium, State of Matter, Redox Reaction, Polymers, Chemical bonding, Classification of Elements, Biomolecules, etc.
